Dont let the dealer low ball you on the trade in. And try to talk them down as much as possible. If you dont mind try to get a 06 because the dealer wants to get rid of them.

And the steering wheel. They dont have stage kits for the 07's also. You can get options like the wing delete and silver rims. And there are no longer offering the recaro seats.

In the 07 all you can get is the limited slip, but you dont have the option to get it with the recaros.

Its gonna be hard to get the recaros though. Go for the 06 and sit there and haggle till you cant haggle anymore.

You definitely want the G85 package. Hopefully you can find one real close to you.

The Rims on the 07s are different too (nicer in my opinion).

It's very difficult to find 07 with the Recaros, but it is possible. My 07 has the G85 with the Recaro seats. Goodluck with the new 'Balt.

yes, the G85 package is a must.... I have a non G85 and have ridden in Screamin' SC w/ G85.... huge difference....don't make the non G85 mistake that I made!
otherwise the SC is a fantastic car, you wont be disappointed!
good luck shopping!

If u shop around right now , you may beable to find a 07 with recaro's . The cut off for ordering them was the 21st of September . If where your at is anything like here the 2006's are looooong gone . I dont think Ive ever seen a SS/SC on the lot more than week around here .

A little advise to man . Once the deal is all wrote up , just fully understand whats going on before you sign . If have any negative equity in your Cobalt , dealers have all kinds of ways to jumble the #'s around on the invoice to make it appear your getting a deal . Once you settle on a deal with them , take the time to go over it away from the salesmen and the finance guy before you sign even though there gonna do all they can to get you to sign a deal as quicky as they can . Patience is key

I've heard it's best to do all the wheeling and dealing, get numbers on paper, THEN tell them you have a trade-in. I've never done it, but i hear that will get you a better deal.

See if you can get a discount also. I got a supplier discount just for working for Home Depot. It saved me quite a bit.

......heres all the 07 changes

-Clear corners instead of amber in the headlights
-3 spoke steering wheel
-the new radios with i-pod jack
-All the 2007's Ive seen , the dash plastic looks better and not as shiney as the 05-06's
-The gunmetal wheels are now Malibu SS 18's painted with the same gunmetal paint ....polished wheels are the same desing as 05-06's .
-the 2007's have a new MUCH faster reacting PCM
-the Daytime running lights are no longer the parking lights , they are the headlights .
-All TSB's that applied to the 2006's should be already be on the 2007 .
-no cost low mount spoiler
-the Onstar rear-view mirror no longer has the auto dimming feature like the 05-06's
-I dont know if this applies to the Cobalts , but I saw window sticker on a 07 G5 GT with the XM option and instead of the normal 3 months free .....it was 12 months free and also included a certain amount of free music downloads thru XM . On the sticker it was called a digital entertainment package .

Thats about it for changes pertaing to the SS/SC

it still has a dimmer , its just a manual switch now instead of automatically adjusting itself .

That's odd, cuz in the 'o6 (which is what i own) you can manually turn the dimmer off or on if you want. It turns on automatically at night but you can turn it off if you want.
