I thought this was kool.
Before I bought my 2007 Cobalt ss Supercharged, I had an 06 Saturn ion 3 with the 2.4 ecotec, and I had bought a Weapon-R short ram intake for it. Before I traded the car in on my cobalt I took the short ram intake out. I had nothing to do with it nad I didnt want to throw it out since It costed like $200 for it (insane) lol.
but I figured since both engines were ecotec the MAF sensor was the same as far as Dimesions and size and screw holes and such, so this weekend, I pulled out my stock intake to find out the MAF sensor is the same, it fit in the Waepon-R intake and the screws lined up and everything, so I cut the intake about an inch-inch and a half from each side of the sensor slot, went out and bought a K&N cone filter with a 3 inch inlet and just bolted it to the stock intake piping, it works perfect the supercharger screams, and I notice a slight gain, NO CEL and it runs NICE! Im just really impressed/proud with myself on this one, and wanted to share the knowledge with you all. lol
and I saw another thread on people putting down hood pins on the cobalt, thats another thing I did this weekend (the weather was nice hear in maryland) and mine look really good, I LOVE them and Im glad I put them in, I just like the way they look.
Ill post up some pictures as soon as I figure out how, Im not very good with computers,
