Angry ignition coil

I have a 2006 ls with 67000 m on it and was wondering if anyone has had any problems with their ignition coil going out on theirs. mine just went out about a week ago and i have been using the manual over ride button under the steering wheel. and it is a pain in the ass. i got a quote from the dealership and they said it would be around $600 to get it replaced. i can do it myself but it still is going to cost me $200 to get my ignition programed. please if anyone has had any problems please tell me what you did.

i think i know what you mean. coils are on the spark plugs, maybe you mean module???? Check the junkyards and local mechanics. I bet its dealer only though.
