Im done with this car.
In the past 30 days, I have put more than $8000 in my car, but it looks like I am stuck with it for a while.
Last car payment- 200.92
Pay off car so I have no more car payments - 5100
Double Din radio - 375
Insurance - 92
Gas - 125
Then about a week after I pay the car off, tranny ***** the bed.
Transmission, pressure place, TOB, clutch ect... - ~2300 (i got raped on this one, but I had no choice in my situation.) It didnt really NEED a clutch, but while everything was apart, might as well.
This is my last GM car. It only has 53,000 miles too.

The thing is, I really dont drive the car hard. I have had it almost 3 years and have been bored with it for a while so I dont even try. I used to have a 600cc bike, so I dont even try to make it fast or drive it like it is a fast car. Most of the miles are highway. I am in South Carolina and have done a many trips to Texas and Ohio and back. Long story short the second gear synchro went out and it went bad real quick from there.
The car has 3 passes down the track and that was when I first got the car.

8 grand is not just transmission. Its just in general how much money I have put in the car in the past 30 days. I know how to drive a manual. I have been drining one for 8 years with zero issues.
i've beat the **** out of my car many times no problems you just need to know how to drive and let out of it if it wheel hops..syncros going bad would be driver error sorry to say. i learned how to drive manual on my car too btw.
Can't speak to anyone elses vehicles but my own.
1991 Buick Park Avenue Ultra, 180,000 trouble free powertrain miles, sold in 2006.
2004 Chevy Malibu (Maxx) 106,594 {current winter car} zero powertrain issues.
2005 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC traded in summer 2009: 95,000 miles; 2.7 Pulley, 60's, fully bolted and tuned; had some issues north of 90,000. Pay to play my friend.
2009 Chevy Cobalt SS/TC GMS1+, 26,500 miles, zero powertrain issues, in storage for winter. Runs like a champ.
To criticize GM would be short sighted on my part because I ran into issues with a modded/tuned sport-compact/sports car type vehicle. Every other vehicle including my SSTC with GMS1+ has had zero powertrain issues.
Pay. To. Play.
Best of luck with your vehicle.
