Interceptor HP mesurment
I install my new interceptor some days ago and I was wondering what kind of numbers you were getting, are they closely related to what the engine is producing net, at the crank? Or at least, is it accurate enough to mesure changes after, for example changing type of gas, disable methanol injection, adding an intake and other small modifications like that?
Here's a picture of mine and 3 more at the link if you want to see it installed ;
The whole thing at: http://www.ticpu.net/~jerome/pics/?path=./car/interceptor
Tells 209 HP for my stock SS/SC + Injen intake and AIS Methanol injection kit on regular fuel (yes, yes, I'll soon refill to super anyway)
On a very hot day with the same setup and after multiple run I only got up to 198.
This little box certainly replace my boost until I get a tri-pod to put at least another gauge hehe.

watch your iat2's instead of your horsepower mate. Iat2's are much more important then what your hp could be.
As far as if the hp is accurate or not, I will test it out later on today and see what it says compared to my dyno.

yeah, the hp measurement is most likely off, you can probably calculate it and adjust it accordingly, i'm sure its just running off of some of the same information that it uses for MPG. It probably won't take into consideration your methanol injection at all, just your injector work. My stage 2 and 2.9" pulley showed me 272hp in 70 degree weather btw.

the horsepower calculation is off a little bit, however if you have had the car on the dyno you can put in a correction factor. i dont figure mine is off too far, it says 290hp, but you gotta remember thats flywheel HP, figure 15% drivetrain loss and its right around 250whp, about were most people with simular mods to me dyno.

I never went on any dyno yet, too bad I can't calibrate it with the right numbers, when I got the interceptor and played around the menus, I looked up the HP adjustment, I was first thinking you were to adjust the HP in a relative number instead of a percentage, got a funny 290 HP in first gear

granted, i'm looking for it in the same mindset as the 0-60 time. no, it's not a hard number, just wondering if it's something to play with. or, at the least if it reads 100 one day, and 105 right after i add something, well, it got somewhat faster.
