Anyone ever change their interior ventilation filter? How often? How much?

Figure on once a year, about $15 for the filter. It's right behind the glove box...very easy to get to.

^ Is that just for your own personal preference as to breathing cleaner air or is there a benefit for the vehicle?

If it gets to dirty, some dirt or leafs can drop into the fan, and it will start making this annoying sound at low settings. Wish i would have changed mine more often

Yes that's right! If you don't change it then junk may build up and enter the blower motor underneath. It makes an annoying noise if this happens.

You change it by pushing in the 2 sides of the glove box(left side is a rubber stopper, Right is a plastic piece) Push them in and pull the glove box towards you and it will drop down. A string on the right side will hold it in place so its not like it falls off. There are 3 small clips that hold the Cabin Air Filter in. Pop the 3 clips and pull the old one out.

Putting the new one in can be a pain. Just remember to put it in at an angle because the box its housed in is not strait. yull see.

Anything over 30K Miles should have it changed. Earlier if your air comes out dirty through the vents(or if you want) Also good for an easy 30HP Boost!!! J/K

I'm doing mine right now. Talk about a pain in the ass for something so simple, especially in the cold : /

unfortunatly if your blower motor has never been replaced then i would buy a new one because on the 05 -07 i know of they are a cut out the first time then gm gives you a replacement ring to screw it in

I'm still not convinced my newly seated filter is even seated properly, you practically have to crinkle it up to get in in there. I call design flaw on that ******* box.
