Ion Thermal RD Exhaust On Cobalt?

Hey guys,

I saw a couple guys run the Ion Thermal RD catback on Cobalts recently. So I know it works. But did anything need custom bent, fitted, etc for it to fit and work properly? I'm really trying to bolt it on and be good, but I doubt that'll happen. I liked the clips I heard, and I've had experience with their products before.. But since they don't make anything directly for a Cobalt, I'm not sure.

Also, I'm an auto, and have the full s/c rear lip. Will fitment be all off and it'll stick way too far out? If so, could I just hack off the stock "long tip" and clamp on a shorter one?

Anyone have any experience on this with a 2.4? Only heard 2.0's..

And yes, this IS a general Cobalt question. KTHX.

Thanks!

yes the pipe in between the tip and muffler needs to be changed. it is too long. the exhaust does sound nice but mine only lasted about 40k miles until the muffler filling gave up.
