Just bought my SS/SC
A couple weeks ago I fell in love with a 2006 SS. I bought it as soon as I could, and I must say it is phenomenal! Being certified, it came with a three year bumper to bumper warranty, and I was wondering what, if any, modifications I could do weather they are performance or visual I could do while keeping the warranty good. Any fun facts or tips will be appreciated as well...

You may want to look at that again. Mine was certified. Only came with 11,000mile/1yr warranty. The salesman told me all kind of bullshit about the warranty going to 100,000 and what not. Nope. It wasn't true and I had already signed the papers. How did you get 3 years? Pay extra for it? My car had 30,000miles on it. Its a 2006 SS/SC G85.
Is yours G85?

It's not a g85 unfortunately, I would like to replace those seats as soon as I can, and as for the LSD, I don't plan on doing anything about that until I get a truck so I can start looking to really mod it, but thats a few years away.
As for the love/hate relationship, I owned a freaking Bonneville beforehand, that was all hate, so some love with it should be nice, lol.

you can mod it any and all you want, if it brakes they have to prove that part A cause part B to fail in order to deny your warranty claim.
that being said.... Turbo Swap!

The only issue with that is that GM will claim that all parts of the drive train are designed to uphold a certain amount of horsepower and torque, so if something breaks, they can easily say that the warranty is void due to the increased power or torque. I've heard quite a few horror stories of even a cold air intake voiding a power train warranty. This is just from what I've heard though, haven't experienced with personally though. Just want to be safe with it, even if they effed me over with a one year warranty, its better than none.

Welcome!
Careful though. Check it MIGHT be already modded. I do agree with the OP though, if you want to keep your warranty GMP Stage II is about the most you can do.
I baught mine, they bsed about the warranty too, but it still had a GM Certified Warranty (Expired now) But, Mine was also modified, so the powertrain part was voided.
Check for Supercharger Pully size Stock = 3.3"
Check fuel injectors Stock = Green
Good Luck

Check your supercharger pulley. If it is bolted in with 4 blue bolts (Or 5 if aftermarket), then it is already GM stage 2. I know when I bought mine as GM certified used, it already had the stage II kit installed and covered under the certified used warranty.

im just gonna steal this thread for a second. so the only stage ll kit i can put on my car without voiding my warranty is the GM one? will they have to install it also for the same reason or can i?

Correct, the GM stage 1-3 ( I think 3 is included ) are the only ones that will keep your warranty. For it to keep your warranty it will have to be installed by a GM dealership.

Additional Parts Needed
Bolts: $4 GM Bolts from ZZP
GM 2 Belt $30
HUB: 30$ i believe
Other than that i believe your looking around 540 for the kit without installation.
