just picked up some console parts... (help!)

Hey!

I just picked up a bunch of console parts and aside from just realizing that I missed one part (so I guess I'm going back tomorrow!);

Could someone please show me pictures of what the latch/button looks like for the console lid?

I think the latch/button is broken ~ but I might have found it elsewhere in the car... If I did I'm going to need to figure out how to fix it...

ALSO:

I think I grabbed a smokers package;
there's a rubbery cup holder insert, and another part (that I think goes with it - but hte car was a mess, so for all I know it could be an HVAC part) ~ that seems to fit in on of the cup holder spots...

Can someone please show me pictures of the smokers package parts?

Thanks very much guys!

That rubber insert is standard on some cars. Optional on others. It's not part of the smokers package. Just makes cups fit better. They started omitting them to be cheap.

And latch/button for the console??? Not sure what you mean.

I was looking for a Cobalt during the '09 model year that fit my personal requirements ~ but the local dealer pretty much made me write off buying one because they were inflexible on pricing;
anyway...
I rented a Cobalt sedan while visiting my mom in the spring(?) of 2009 just to get a feel for driving a Cobalt for a day ~ and of course it had a console... but I could have sworn that I had to hit a button to unlatch it...

This console that I just picked up has no latch/button ~ but it kinda looks like it should have one.

yup, definitely should have one...

pulled it apart and can see where the latch would have been suspended on the inside of the lid...

Are you talking about the arm rest? There should be a little plastic latch that holds the lid closed.
