a lady called me from there basically to thank me for buy my car, since i was on the phone i figured i would ask her a few questions that she actaully had some answers to. i told her how my car makes a clicking noise when its real cold out on the first start of the day and then doesnt do it afterwards and after going over a few scenarios she said there is a service bulletin out for my car on a fuel sensor that could be making that noise and that i should take it in for a fix, also i asked her what gm is doing with putting out a supercharger kit for the 2.2 and or 2.4 cobalts and she said she had talked to an engineer and they said they will be doing it but for some reason they dont have a release date and are keeping it hush hush, she said the engineer told her the dealers wont know that its coming out the day before it does, so anyway i just figured id share the info i got.

 

cool beans! I wonder what the super will do for the 2.4...

i'm skeptical but good news. Wonder if the super's would be under warranty.

Yup thats the one. It scared the crap out of me the first time I heard it. There was a thread about it a while back.

Yea, GM called me a week after I bought my car, asked me pretty much the same things...

 

I call BS........... Number 1 Gm uses a seperate company to make those calls. and Number 2 nobody or car company is going to make a supercharged edition of a certain model and then offer a complete supercharger kit for the same model with a differant power plant. I hate to bust your chops but just think about it... everyone with a 2.2 or 2.4 your only hope to get force induction will be to go aftermarket.

 

the supercharger is only for the 2.2 , so the web says

 

For the ECOtec powered J-bodies....

 

the 2.2 and 2.4 should be able to use the same kits with separate tuning...
