Hey guys, i was wondering if you can take the metal thing off where u can open your trunk, iv seen some ss without it and was wondering how they did it? anyone? thanks.

 

yea u can.. u take it out and a body shop fills it in. i got it done.. looks really good

 

How much did that cost you if you don't mind me asking?

 

varies from shop to shop. once they take the lock out they have to weld a piece of metal over it, grind it down, bondo it to make it smooth, sand it, prime it, paint it, wet sand it, clear it, wet sand it again. my guess would be 500 -1000 depending on the body shop and how good of a job they do.
