LOL Found this on ebay
I think someone else on here had this happen to them as well. I was searching through and saw a pic that looked awfully familiar and as it turned out it was MY CAR. Someone chopped a lower grille into the picture. I recognized the houses behind the car.
I will post the original pic up when I get home.
Here is what they are selling:
06 07 08 09 Chevy Cobalt SS Bumper Billet Grille Grill - eBay (item 160509202004 end time Mar-20-11 18:55:52 PDT)
Here is the image from the ebay page:

I found it in my gallery.

ya tell them you want your advertising fee for using your vehicle and picture to advertise a product they are selling. i'm pretty sure thats against ebay's term's and conditions as well for them to do that.
A few eBay sellers, however, engage in an unfortunate and unethical practice by using photos from other sellers' auctions in their own listings. Not only is this a violation of eBay rules (it can get you suspended or even banned if you do it repeatedly), but it is also a matter of copyright infringement. In short, you can be sued in civil court for compensation if another seller finds you using his or her image on your auction listing. So don't do it.

i can't specifically locate the rule in the ebay rules but i'm at work so i'm not exactly looking too hard lol

Well, the picture they used is not from my ebay acct. It's from either here on css.net or from my cardomain.com acct.
I have a lower grille, it's the T/C grille. I was looking for a T/C upper grille. lol

you can't, you did not watermark your photo. I had this happen to me from MANY different vendors and companies in china and korea. One of our cars had a photo put up to display our vendors product, and someone forgot to watermark it. Within days, the picture was all over ebay and redundant website vendors. We attempted to take legal action, but quickly found out there is none to take. Without a watermark, your screwed.

Honestly if they really wanted to crop it out, it still wouldnt be worth the price youd pay in lawyer fees, fortunately for us, the sponsor used their own legal team.
9 times out of ten your dealing with international trade laws. If you watermark it and can prove your watermarked version is posted before "their" photo, you have a case. If no watermark is present and its posted online, its considered public use.
