looking at getting a colbalt ss

Hey guys its time for a new daily driver and ive narrowed it down between a cobalt ss and an srt4. I have a 95 camaro as my drag racing car and ive always been a chevy guy and i need something fuel efficient for my daily driving, and the only way i can get myself to buy a four cylinder is if its american and it is forced induction so it will still be fun to drive. The cobalt ss really caught my eye i think they are a great looking car but i do not know too much about them. Any oppinions on what year to go with? Did they change anything throughout the years. I have about 17g to spend on one. Im not looking into makeing it into a race car or anything just a fun daily driver. Thanks

The Cobalt SS/TC has better MPG than the CSRT-4 I believe. Not sure about your family status, get the sedan if you want better usability. However, if you need more room, CSRT-4 would be the way to go.

You won't be able to get a new turbocharged Cobalt SS for 17 grand, but you can pick up a used Cobalt SS supercharged for 17 or much less.

SS Supercharged --> 2005-2007
SS Turbocharged --> late 2008-now

There is also a naturally aspirated 2.4L Cobalt SS made from 2006-2008. All are good daily drivers.

he wants a cobalt SS not a fobalt ss.

2.4 is not an ss... well... in my eyes

if u buy an SS just make sure it was taken care of, i would never buy a used car that has been even slightly modded in the past.

Are you saying you can only finance 17g, or you have 17g cash? If you have 17g cash I would put that down on a new SS, finance the other 5g if you have to and have a brand new car for you to make sure it is taken care of.

If that isn't an option you might be able to find an 06 or 07 that is unmodded being sold private party for around that amount.

get an 06 SS with recaro racing seats and LSD. My friend has a rare 07 laser blue combo with chrome rims recaros lsd and a sunroof...its like the ultimate S/C Cobalt SS....I love it. Way nicer seats than the stock leather ones my 05 SS has.
