Meth Indicator Light
Meth Indicator Light
I am running a Devils Own Stage 1 pressure switch set up. I am not progressive. Is there a way to set up a light that will tell you when the pump is actually pumping? I know how to hook it up to see if the pump is getting power but I want to know when there is pressure going through the lines.

I am using a pressure switch style set up, I'm not progressive.
Correct, i get what your trying to do. what i was getting at, is what wire is the one that provide power to the pump during that signal. all you need to do is tap that wire, and ground the other side of the light.
This. Your switch should have one pressure hose going to it that is getting pressure from the intake manifold or some other vac/boost source. Then you should have two wires: one to the power source and one to the pump. The power wire will be getting power any time the ignition is on so don't tap that wire unless you just want a light show. The wire to the pump will only get power when the desired boost has been reached and that's when it sends power to the pump. Tap that second wire and ground the light somewhere inside the cab. Technically this won't tell you if the pump turns on, it will just tell you when the pressure switch sends power to the pump.

This isn't what I am trying to do. If the pump itself fails the light will still go on because it is still getting power sent to it. I want to find a way to know there is pressure moving through the lines. I'm thinking I'd have to tap the line with a t and have another pressure switch to trigger the light.
Bingo.
Bingo.
