ok so this is my idea....

we set up a big rally... actually multiple rallies....

all will end in STL!

the rallies:
Chicago to St. Louis
Indianapolis to St. Louis
Nashville to St. Louis
Dallas to St. Louis


everyone leave on a set time on saturday morning from a meeting spot in the departure city of your choice... ( all times will be figured so that everyone will hopefully meet in STL around the same time saturday night...)

if people from other citys can get a group and would like to set up that a departure city also that can be arranged

depending on how big it is we can go as far as people from denver, minneapolis, pitsburge, atlanta... can also set up to come as well...


we will all stay at one hotel somewhere in STL.

each rally will have stop points to pick up people along the way, to gas, to let people catch up that fell behind, and to eat... and all these things will be pre planned ant put on a map.

T shirts can be made for different rally groups... example a chicago to stl rally Tshirt... and then all the backs of the shirts will include the other rallies meeting in STLwe can do all sorts of things...

give me your ideas... this could be huge! tel me what you think...

 

If people could manage to keep it street legal and follow normal road rally rules, it'd be awesome. But I'm kinda doubting that would happen.

 

That would be cool... But who's going to plan something like that?

not everyone will follow rules... but thats why there will be stops.... they can speed ahead all they want but then they will jaut be hurrying up so they can wait at the next stop.... and then it wouldnt be fun for them to drive alone when everyone else is cruising in a pack

i am willing to set it all up just with help from people in the local departure citys. i will need them to gather locals and tell me the best spot for everyone to meet in that city.... so i cna put it on a map i will post on here for all to print out and have in there car.

if there will be more people want to go from that city instead then yes we can chang it...

this is just a... 'prototype' set up

 

when you say the word RALLY and then throw GROUPS in there from other places lol it makes me think of doing a CANNONBALL RUN within the groups lol as in the frist one from this rally group wins this but that would defeat the purpose of having a cruise let alone being ILLEGAL i would love to cruise down with about 30-40 cobalts from the IL WI MN region into STL lol i wouldnt mind that at all actually

 

if you could get enough people from dallas to go...

 

that would be AWESOME!!!!!!!
but it would really require alot of organization and work for it to work out without everything just getting confused and mixed up. BTW around when would this take place. Im assuming sometime in summer right?
If someone actually takes the time to figure this out and set everything up tight that would be kick ass.

there is no prizes... its a cobalt rally... with groups... if you wanna speed that up to you... but like i said cruising in a pack would be more fun... if the whole pack wants to speed then do it.... to each his own...

i am looking to set it all up... i just need to see whos interested and what cities will have people departing...

 

every single cobalt in chicago likes to boost...especially the 2.0l SS/SC

i am not saying it will be a slow cruise... i bet each one will be rather quick pased... but it wont be one big race... this way we can get more people involved.

red_line_cobalt could be the main organizer... then there would need to be sub-organizers in each departing city and another in St. Louis to find us good accomodations, eats and entertainment...

i will have a good sized group coming outa chicago... all us WI/IL folk can fill up that rally..

hell yeah... i bet we can get 20 cars leaving from chicago....
