Modified my SS/SC diecast model

Just found this a walgreens of all places today. Never ever seen another cobalt model, so I had to buy it. When I got home, I decided to try to lower it. I think it looks good. I plan on painting it red when I get some free time.

lol. I took the interior out, it's one big chunk of plastic, but it holds the axels down. Without that piece the wheels just rest on the wheel wells.

I didn't notice that the interior was gone. Doesn't it look funny without it, though?

You really can't tell that easily. Besides, who needs an interior, it's just added weight.lol.

Well, you know with the interior missing, the road noise is pretty extreme, but hey, you gotta sacrifice for performance, right? The actual ride is great, it's got coilovers, so I can raise it up if need be.

The kit that came with it is hideous. I'll see if I can put it on just to show you guys.

I did some mods to my 1/43 scale Cobalt too.....about 3 months ago. Also, you can lower the car without having to remove the interior.

This is the link to my post from Feb 1st 2006 (1/43 Scale Cobalt mods)

Walgreens is where I got mine. That's a nice job there poolboyz. This was just my quick way of doing it, kinda like copping springs. I was actually planning on taking it copletely apart and paiting it, I even thought of lowering it the other way too.
