Performance mods, yes...But when people are making a list of mods done to the vehicle then everything matters. Modifications are anything modded in one way shape or form to the vehicle. Hell, I post window tint in my mods lists, but I have sections such as...

Performance;
GM stg2
Blah blah

Interior;
Window tint
Blah blah

Exterior

You get the point..Now, when someone says that their performance mods include tint, shaving emblems, and putting a shorty anntenae on then I can totally agree. lol

 

I disagree. A modification, is a modification. Anything that didn't come stock is a mod. If your car didn't come with red calipers, and you give it red calipers, it should go into a mod list.

The definition of Modification: the state of being modified; partial alteration.

Tint is a modification. Now if someone is posting a race thread and lists window tint when someone asks for a list of mods, that is a little stupid as the tint is not a modification in the sense that the person was asking.

 

theres many more mods out there then just performance mods, in a show car does all that fiberglass interior and custom sub boxes add hp? so in other words they must not be a mod then right?

My shorty antenna didn't come with my SS/SC. Therefore, it is a mod whether you want to consider it or not.
Mod=Modification. Modification=anything you change on your car that was different then factory. Not strictly performance wise.

Man that's so ghey. Everyone knows that tinting windows adds weight due to all that thick ass film - thus slowing your car in the 1/4 by .001sec for every 5 degrees of tint.

Now removing your heavy front license plate bracket and adding light weight bumper plugs improves your car's aerodynamics, increasing your top speed by .001%; thus belonging on a performance oriented mod list.

 

good idea with the plate (its true too). BUT the tint prevents the sun from going into the car and weighing it down therefore u get can take off like 0.001 from ur 1/4 if u have tint.

 

why list that stuff at all? if you have something really cool and want to show it off, then do it! but if you windows are tinted or you have a cold air intake, or you are lowered, or have nice rims, or a nice stereo or.... who really cares?

if its something most people have why list it? if you have a custom fabed twin turbo blah blah blah, say something about it! people want to see that! otherwise why waste the space?
