I got my SS for about 22000 with all the discounts. I put 10,000 down, and my payments are 280 a month

edit: Over 5 years I think. I plan on making double payments whenever I don't buy a new toy for it.

edit part 2: I also got it at I think 5.9%. A lot better then my cavy last year that I got for 18%...

I bought just the base coupe black cobalt for zero down I would have had about 75 to 80 dollars in monthly mayments plus for an extra year. I pay 260. American monthly for 5 years. $0.00 down at 4.7 APR. Cost only $12,792.00!! I plan on puting the Phase 5 in it. But I'm looking for some Parts. I love the wing on the SS. If any one has some stock parts they want to get rid of let me know. juniorprospect.com

With the SmartBuy, u have choices at the end of the 4 year term. U can either refinance it for the residual value or just turn it back in with no cost or negative equity.

My car's sticker price was 24, 995.

I got 1500 for my trade

I got the friends and family discount 1500 off

I had 450 in GM credit card points

500 dollars cash back.

leaves me at about 21,000

I then put about 5000 down on it.

took out a loan for 17,000 after tax titles and fees. 5.9 % interest

322 a month.

I had a Nissan SE-R before my Balt and I got 0.9% through them, 5.9 sucks, that would ahve brought the payment into the 2XX range....

I did the smart buy just because it was a way to get almost $2000 more off the price of the car, at least when I did it. That brought the price of my '05 SS/SC to $19,200 but then I had to roll my negitive equity in my '04 Avalanche back into it. So my payment for 1 month until I refinanced was $506 USD and now with a decent apr its $435 USD.

i got the LS w/ the smartbuy option only b/c i had no choice.. my old car was crapping out and i needed something right then and there.. i was going to wait it out and actually BUY an ss/sc towards the end of the yr

i don't like the idea of leasing, but at the time i couldn't afford what i really, really wanted so i did this instead

they took $1500 for my trade-in and i put another $500 down from my GM card.. almost positive my interest rate was set at 5 % but could be wrong.. total for the notes are $219 car was listed at $17625

one thing to think about is how much mileage u put on a car and the wear and tear of your current car..

i drive an average of 10000 miles a yr.. school/work/home and the occasional drive to the inlaws about 100miles away.. so its easy for me to watch my mileage which is why we got the 12000mile a yr.. i've had the car since may and only have around 4500 miles on it atm..

i had my last car for about 7yrs w/ around 90000miles on it.. i bought it with around 30000miles and kept it up like it was still brand spanking new.. but the engine was rebuilt and small things were going out every month..

at the end of the SMARTbuy lease u have an amount left to pay.. lets say its 8000.. well u can either sell it (if its worth more) and pay off that amount (8000) and keep the profit, trade it in for another lease, or walk away.

with the regular lease u trade-in for another lease or walk away

sorry such a long post, but i hope this helps you out = )

I went to buy the SS/SC and they are currently running a credit check cause my moms credit isnt to hot. Im only 18 close to 19 and the dealer told me that the payments would be in the 400 range. I can only afford like 350 but I was wondering if anything to say to be able to get it for cheaper. I also am not going to be able to put any money down right now, at least till feb. The sticker is 24,500 but I dont want the onstar and bonus **** like that, I only want the base car with a sunroof. Has any one seen a yellow cobalt with yellow inserts and a black pin stripe w/ a stripe down the middle and a black ss sign on the spoi8ler I did at the dealer and man was it smokin!

I don't think you'll get down into the 350 range with specs like that, plus have you thought about insurance, you'll have to pay for that as well.
