It's finally here !!!

I should have it by the end of the day pending getting the financing done with bank etc. etc.

Here is a quick picture (excuse the size, I dont have timr right now to resize), it had just been unloaded and driven into the dealer's shop area to get checked out and cleaned up :P (so lighting not the best either)

now one question, aren't '06's supposed to have a grill piece in front of the intercooler?

or only the non S\C SS's?

Just about 3 months. I placed the order in June (knowing ahead of time that the 06 wouldnt even start rolling out of the factory till about July), it was built during the 2nd week of August approximately, and then took it's time riding a train and then a truck to get to my dealer.

My dealer is ordering that lower grille part for me.
So I suppose you could say that will be my first "alteration from stock".


As this is the very first Cobalt SS in my town here (or possibly in the entire state) everyone at the dealership was excited to see it as well

 

man NICE car. i only wish mine came in that fast, i still have to wait till december and i ordered it july 23! o well have fun with it

 

Here is a relatively decent picture of it after the dealership had checked it out and got it all cleaned up and parked it outside. I snapped this while walking up to the dealership just before 4pm this afternoon and it rained from then until about now ... so unfortunately it already needs washed...

I just ordered my 06 S/C. They told me that it will take 4-6 weeks. I really hope it comes with in 4 weeks or less. Sooner or later i'll join the club of s/c owners.

It was a coin toss for me between the blue and red.

Red won, but i also have a blue truck so...

Have fun breaking it in and trying not to "gas on it"!!

I have the same year and color as you, and it is a bitch to keep clean. Make sure you use turtle wax on it and not the wax as you dry stuff, or it will show every bit of water that ever touched it...

Also... Wait a while before going out to wax it because the trunk and wing will drip water for an hour .
