Exclamation Is My BCM Needing Replaced???

Drove in the rain last night and lost my headlights and tail lights and speepometer and tachometer lighting. Alos, lost boost guage light. turned lights back on and gained headlights but no other lights that had gone out came back on. i checked both fuse blocks only one fuse was blown (15A PRK LMP fuse) so i popped in a new one and it immediatley blew the fuse. so i put in a 25A and took a look at the tail lights the were going from dim to hight and so on and so fourth. however i didnt have my guauge lighting back help is greatly welcomed! any questions let me know becase RIGHT NOW I CANNOT DRIVE AT NIGHT

If the fuse blew as soon as you put it back in it sounds like you have a loose wire/ground somewhere and it's shorting out (I had the same behaviour when my Aux power outlet near the e-brake became unplugged and was resting on a metal bracket above my BCM). This case of all the lights going out sounds familiar from a few years back, but I wouldn't know what to start searching for....

Since you were in the rain, you maybe got water into the under hood fuse box - they are not that well sealed. Water sloshing around in the bottom of the box is going to short stuff out.

Don't know how hard it would be to pull it out and try to dry it but it would be worth a shot, make sure the cover fits tight when you put it back together.

Good luck dude.....

Wow, good thing you found that before it wore right through to bare wire!
