Need a HID Kit, post your suggestions here!
I just bought new headlights! I didn't wanna spend 300$+ on retros and I didn't like many of the eBay models but I think I came across my best fit. So these headlights run for like 200+ on eBay but the other day I got lucky and found an auction that started at 140$ and won the bid for $150 shipped.
They are like gen 2's but except they don't have the light bar, and I got the model with CCFL halos that are brighter and cooler
So I've researched a bit and these headlights use H7 bulbs for low beam and H1 for high beam. I want to install a HID kit but I have a few issues I'd like to discuss before I jump into anything.
1) What HID Kit is relatively inexpensive and good quality that you guys recommend, I was told to get DDM or VVME, I want the HID Kit to arrive within a week or 3 days since I get my headlights the 20th. The sooner the better. What's a good US seller that offers warranty. I'm located in NY if that matters.
2) Another thing, I got a cheap eBay kit for my fog lights, supposedly 6000k but the lights have like a strong tint of blue that I wasn't expecting. Is it due to the cheap kit or the color is like that? I've seen online many 6000k pics and they look like pure white, mine look like 8000k. So I've been thinking about getting the 5000k color for my headlights kit and going with 3000k for the fogs.
3) I don't really wanna leave these headlights on during the winter because the lens is cheaper quality and it'll prob crack and get stress marks from the snow. Should I go with a bixenon HID kit so I can use it in my stock headlights and then swap bulbs and use these new headlights? How would a bixenon work since the new headlights have 1 projector for low beam and a separate one for high beam?
Those are the 3 things I mainly need to discuss. Thanks in advance!

I got the DDM Tuning 55w harness and originally got 8k which would resemble 6k with the 35w harness and I loved it. Then I got retros which were for h1 bulbs i believe and my DDM harness just hooked right up to them. They also have great service/shipping.
And to answer your other question, yes it does sound more like 8k, or if it's a really strong blue possibly even 10k. I'm personally getting 12k fogs for the looks from DDM and all the reviews for DDM have been top notch, headlights and foglights. My light combo will be 55w 4300k Retro headlights and 35W 12000k HID Foglights.

I'm trying to find lights that would be legal in VA and still look neat.
I can barely decipher the VA concealed weapons law, and thats with years of experience.
the VA headlights law reads even weirder o.O
