dude thats hilarious, but still, i'd ask, i don' t wanna drop $350+ bucks for rims and another $300+ for Z rated tires for my gf or wife (haha to that statement) unless I know why....
But yeah man we're waiting for our stuff to get tuned.....Governer is what controls that, but hitting 105 is pushing your tires close to the 112MPH stock speed limitation...and you don't wanna know what happens if they blow...flap flap flap screech scraaaanch flip crinkle crinkle.....and death too of course.....

Um... 90% of dealers wont remove it because they cant, to remove it you have to have a special code for the GMTechII scanner. To get the code you have to call GM and they usually wont give it to you.

Its only good to 105 cause thats all the faster the car can SAFLY handle! The suspension, brakes, and tires are NOT rated for more and to try to push it faster witout building up said areas of the car is crazy and irresponcible as your only asking to get hurt, dead or hurt or kill others.

1st, why do you need to go past 105
2nd, if it's because you want to be able to have get-up and go on the highway... it's a 2.2, taking the governor off won't change the fact that you don't have the power to get much past that anyway
3rd, going with 1 & 2, what's the point? It's a 2.2, it takes you forever to get to 100, what do you want to get it up to? It'd take a forever long OPEN road and that's not saying you'd have the power to get it much past that anyway.
Last, after 2 & 3 i realized you should take something else into consideration and ask you if when you hit the governor it should have jerked the car a little and you should have felt power loss. If you didn't then you didn't hit the governor and you just proved why you don't need it off anyway, because you just don't have the power to go past that, it's not the governor, your speedo just stopped climbing.
EDIT: Just read Jackalopes.... that's another good point. You shouldn't do it anyway because the car won't do well above that. You have skinny tires that are rated at a lower speed and not as good a suspension as you should have, it could be bad for your health.
