Need some help
Ive been shopping around for a new car and I came across an 06 Cobalt SS 2.4L Automatic. 64,000 miles and a 1-Owner car, car fax is showing the oil changes and all the maintence. Car looks like a 9/10, Drives perfect and trans shifts smooth. Dealer is asking $5,000 and seems like a real nice guy family owned small car dealer. My bank said it was way under priced and approved the loan immediatly... Should I go for it or is something to good to be true here?

Post pics. Its a auto 2.4 . Ive seen them around my area go for 6k. 5k Is a decent deal, and if it drives well and everything then why not? lol If your not 100% sure, go bring it by a shop for $50 bucks and they will check it out for you.
Nice, the turn signal is easy to replace buy one at CED and install it yourself. If it takes more than 30 minutes to replace it something is wrong with you. There is a how to on this site.
Has the pioneer sound system with the sub woofer but no leather ill wait for the junkyard to get one for some of the extras
Car is coming along found someone in Orlando which is close to me with a set of stock cobalt ss rims and will sell me all 4 for $100. Taking off the metal trim around the wheels. Got the old sunroof switch out and ordered the replacement, hopefully it's not the motor? Looking around the junkyards found not even lt models. Found someone parting out a 09 turbo ss and still has all the seats might look into that.
Turn signals are fixed.
Only thing that kind of worried me but seems to be a common issue from what I've found on it, I guess the autos have the T/C light come on and shift kind of rough until the car is restarted and the light goes out. Happened to me twice now and I've seen 4 different things fix it for different people.
Once I get this taken care of I'm going to be ordering the zzp 2.4 turbo kit, I installed all the turbos on the several eclipse gst/x's I've owned but sure it's a little different installing on an N/A car. But I've read the 05s and 06s had forged internals and are fully capable of 8-9psi. I also would like to keep it as a DD though. I'll try to find some pictures of my 97 eclipse gst. Big 16G @ 23psi was pretty fun at the track. Blew the intercooler pipe off the 3rd run xD

Picking up the VVT Solenoid and a Camshaft Position Sensor after work today, spend $100 for both and ill replace them at the same time in about 30min. Ill let you know, throws no codes no CEL or anything. Just the T/C light.
Anyone ever had an A/T that from 3rd-4th the rpms will bounce back and forth from 2100-2500 before it will shift? Thinking about doing a flush on the trans, but with all the sensors that run this car maybe it could just be a sensor?
Removed Air Silencer and added the K&N filter(I personally don't really see a difference sounds a little nicer).
Trim is off the car and looks so much better without it.
Still waiting on sunroof switch, Fuse was good by the way. Ive noticed when I press the switch the lights dim like its getting some power and I can hear it want to start to open. So now i'm wondering if it was just the motor?

Still no Turbo until I can get the trans shifting right.
Keep the current color which is the majestic amethyst metallic? Otherwise im thinking Red or Black.

Update:
Had the TCM Reflashed by Chevy and it took care of the RPM fluttering I had when it shifted from 3rd-4th
Chopped my antenna and repainted it black, no signal loss from any of the major stations I listen too, also eliminated the satellite radio and installed an AUX cable.
Dropped the trans pan and changed the filter and fluid, fluid still looked good probably didn't need to do it but ease of mind is nice.

Not going to spend the $150 for a new one
No commision at work so no turbo kit yet
