Need some quick like a bunny help...

Ok to make a long storu short, I hit a steel door or box or somethin in the freeway last night. It blew out my passenger side tire. I've been gonna get new tires anyways before winter. My question is, if I go with a 215 55 17 as opposed to the stock 205 50 17, am I going to have any issues with rubbing and will that size look ok on my car? I posted about this awaile back in the tires section but no one replied. I'm doing this today so I need to get an answer asap. Thanks.

No issues with rubbing. I jumped two tire sizes without an issue.

edit: sorry to hear about hitting something.

OK cool. I used to tire calc. on a site I found and it says if I'm doin 60, i'm actually doin like 63 so I can tolerate that. Thanks for the quick response. I still dont know what it was I hit...it was in the fast lane of 75 and as people were hitting it, it didnt seem to move. I had no time to react to it. I'm just glad it didnt mess anything else up...I hope.
