need suggestion, lsj to lnf?

I have my LSJ still making payments and my mods are in my sig.
But theres a LNF at my local dealer for 14k with 30k miles and its tempting.
Cause im looking to get into the 12s and make the car look nice and it seems to me it'll cost me less money if i had a LNF.
I need opinions though please and thank you

right outta the box the LNF is probably making more power than your LSJ. If it isnt....it would be much easier to upgrade it and probably less expensive. my opinion...i would ditch the LSJ and go with the LNF

I'd keep the LSJ until it's paid off.

OWNING your own car and not having any car payments is an awesome feeling.

I think it's financially irresponsible to put yourself further into debt solely because you want to run a faster time at the track.

depending on how much he sells the SC for....he might be able to pay it off and have a nice little down payment for the LNF

i have a brand new engine on the lsj though, it doesn't even have 1k miles on it yet, so if i traded it to the dealer shouldn't they give me a good price

i dont know about dealerships dude. they may look at the motor and say that if its modified...its worth crap to them. however....i would imagine that you could get a pretty good price for it on the street.

The thing is that I want turbo. I plan on getting the gm stage one plus hahn down pipe and catback, intake and a BOV. I will have more power and a faster car then going turbo with the lsj for like $4000.

do all that plus a tune and you'll have twice the power that your LSJ would make for half the money

With a good clutch, and an aggressive tune you can get around 290+whp and 320+wtq

yea but you wont have a bigger car payment. i turbo swapped my lsj and yes it was work but only because its my dd. if i had another car i would have done turbo setup for cheaper. as my car stands, i fear no stock turbo lnf

in the long run its up to you, but if your getting rid of the balt dont get another one

thing is i like the cobalts. If i were to try to get a RWD or AWD car like an evo or sti it would be a shitload more expensive.

It sounds like you have your mind made up to get the LNF, and you just want us to give you reassurance for your already made decision. Accept that everyone has different views and do what makes you happy.

i can almost assume he still owes a decent amount on the lsj and trading it in on the lnf is a good idea and all but not for your financial future, believe me im in the same boat.

Do the math...

See how much you've paid so far on your LSJ with interest, and the add onto that the cost financed for the LNF. Now tack on your mods and out of pocket money, not to mention the amount you'll get screwed on trading the LSJ. Don't forget about the depreciation of both cars, and how they're now worth dick...

Doesn't matter if the payment is the same, you're extending said payments another 3, 4, 5+ years...

Congrats you've just paid for two Cobalts totally $40,000+ lol. Seem like a good idea now..? Not trying to be rude, but it absolutely doesn't make sense financially. If you had the money to burn, it prolly wouldn't be on a Cobalt. Just sayin...

Turbo swap it, then beat up LNF's.

I agree turbo swap it... you have a good engine right there... it would be cheaper to turbo swap it... you'd be putting out more HP's and TQ's... and you would be unique... well to the point of not stock... its not worth the $

I was in the same boat. Decided to just go TVS. I've spent A LOT more to get to 300whp than I would have with an LNF, but I will have spent less in the long run than going upside-down on another car, plus mods for said car.
