Need your wisdom

Just had a birthday and I have a little under $500 to spend on upgrades for my 05' ss sc. I already have an injen cold air intake so I have that out of the way. Was thinking exhaust next? What is a good exhaust that I can afford? What other mods would you suggest that I can do myself? I REALLY don't want to pay people for installation if I don't have to (too bad im not that car smart). I care more about performance than looks.
PLEASE HELP!

Ok I know what you are talking about now. Thanks for all the advice. Is the stage 3 kit hard 2 install? What is a fair price for exhaust install?

you would need a pulley puller, which can be rented from zzp, im sure someone around u has one and can help you with the install. you should go into your region section and look for a local thread or ask for some help. all the how-to's u can imagine can be found in the how-to section. every question u have has been asked and answered 99% positive. seeming the LSJ has been out since 2005 lol. just do a search and you will find it. exhaust u can do yourself but u would still have to dish out the money to get it fabricated at a local exhaust shop. if your gonna do that might as well have them put it on. that would cost u 250-350 including muffler. i reused the stock tip fyi. get the stage 3 kit, with the money left over. save it, wait however long it takes for you to get the extra cash to get a cat-back put on at a local shop. (by summer time so it would be perfect). and THEN put on the stage 3 kit after the exhaust. as long as u have it in possesion u have nothing to worry bout because u kno its there and waiting to be put on after the exhaust is on

you will save money going over the axle 2.50 inch with a muffler and reusing stock tip. unless you turbo the lsj it will sound like a hondur. then after you had the exhaust on and saved up more $$ get a 3inch catless or catted and your good i.m.o. if your going to stay stage 3. just always remember this phrase... "You gotta pay to play"
