New 06 SS n/a owner

Hey guys, finally decided to take the dive and traded in the 04 cav for the 06 ss, and i've got to say what a difference in between the two cars, i love it. Got mine in black w/ the pioneer system, sun roof, and side air bags. This 2.4 ecotec has got some pretty good power, i feel like there is power available all throughout the RPM range whereas in my 04 cav with the 2.2 eco seemed like i had to bury my foot to get some power.. Unfortunately had to get the auto, but works perfectly..For a stock car exhaust sound is pretty nice... Cant wait to start with the mods, looking at the injen intake.. hopefully expecting a decent gain since this motor has VVT.

One of the most under rated buys out there. A CAI intake and exhuast should wake it up nicely. I'd like to drive an auto someitme...enjoy. What colour?

I will post pics in a few secs, I absolutely love the 2.4 you can really feel the power.. I havent really seen many n/a SS's around my area, mostly LT's and SS S/C. I know some people dont think its worth the extra cash for the SS n/a but the handling is top notch, and again the power is very good. I have no complaints with this car, my old cav seemed like i had to bury my foot down to get power, and it would be loud as hell. Stock exhaust sounds pretty fricking good.

Hells yeah!! Congrats on the purchase. You should start going to car meets and stuff to get to know everyone. Maybe we can chill, I live like 3-4 towns away from you. Getting my car back in less than 2 weeks. I can't wait.

BTW, I love the black.

I switched from a wrangler to a ss also. Although the wraglers are great cars I think after about a week you will forget all about it. Seeing I hardly ever went offroad the cobalt is way more fun to drive in my book. I hope you like your new ride.

The stage 1 and 2 are for the SC version, actually. But congrats on the new car.

Update: Got 200 miles on the car so far, driving like a grandma till i break it in enough. The power coming for the 2.4 is pretty good, i cant wait to see what she's got... Gotta pick up the injen intake once i break her in.

I have gotten a 15.4 and that was with a crappy 2.5 60ft time. I was getting violent wheelhop si then I just launched barely off idle.

I hope my synthetic engine/trans oil and upcoming CAI can knock that down a bit.
