Ok.....maybe....but srt 4s and ss/sc are already modded.....name one aveo that is?? now your gonna say well there isnt one cuz its dumb to.....thats where i tend to dissagree.....being different isnt always bad....and your just saying im gonna run 15's.....with an engine swap you dont have the slightest clue of what i can run....especially if im running with a spray of NOS.....the possibilities of making this car compete can work....and will work....you work to make money.....and you spend money on things you need.....as of now i still live at home and will till i am out of college....the only thing i need money for is my car and my gf.......so the possibililities can be almost endless .

how much did that thing cost....cuz i think what intense is trying to say here is that your going to dump a ton of money into that thing just to compete with a resonably priced car that is pretty quick. If you are planning on the turbo setup and only looking at running 15's then you will get walked by tons of cars, and yes i know its about who you choose to race..but what are you gonna do, wait for a civic to challenge you cuz you cant beat anything else? Now, i do understand your point about being different, and thats great. If all you want to do is take that car to shows then just drop a turbo in it, get it looking nice, and dont worry about going fast. If its fast you want, then drop the 2.0sc in it, mod it out, and who knows...you might win some races.

good luck man, when you get the engine done throw some pics my way...i would be interested to see how it turns out.

Yeah i understand....the turbo i know for sure i can do....the thing i guess this is all coming down to is i need to find out if the ss/sc engine will fit in the aveo....i know already that i will need to do some modifications to make it fit right...but i dont even know if everything else will hook up right.

Agreed, his attempt at trolling was quite poor. Direct insults tend to make the poster look less intelligent. From a seasoned pro, wit and humor win every time.

To the OP, a 2.0l swap would be an awesome project imo. My recommendation is to find yourself some shop manuals on both vehicles, yours and the donor vehicle. You could compare wiring diagrams, fuel and ignition systems and so on to become more familiar with the vehicles used and ultimately decide if its worth getting into. Good luck and welcome to the site.

you may be able to squize a turbo in there but not two. plus theres no point to twin turboing a 4 cylinder you will never produce enough exhaust to spool both of them. as far as sticking a lsj engine in there thats looking kinda rough right now because your engine is orentated different. this is starting to sound like an eclipse rs trying to stick in a 4g63 engine. I understand what you are saying about being different. but if i were you i would get a nother car mod that and keep this as a daily driver. but thats just me. If you get it done your right it would be nice but your what 17 going to be 18? your going to college im assuming because you said you wanted to make the big bucks. what are you going to do during all the down time on your car? What do you do right now for work? There are very very few people without a college degree that have a good job i know cause i am one of those people. if you do the engine swap theres alot of re enforcing your going to have to do. not to mention new ecu new everythign en that engine bay you might as well buy a front clip or an ss/sc car and swap every bit into your car.

Intense SS - You're an idiot. Go somewhere where idiots are appreciated and post there until your e-**** is teh biggar. Then you can go home and whack it over your own self-image that you've built up by picking on people online. Then when you're done, you can think about how you yourself took a $20,000 car and dropped a large chunk of change into modifying it. Oh, and when you set up that race with Witt, I'll bring the kleenex for you.

Spectral - I think it looks cool. I'd love to see you mod it too. What some people forget is this: It's not about being the fastest. It's about doing something you enjoy. If you enjoy turning a normal everyday economy car into a unique ride, then go for it! I personally love cars. Duh. So I like seeing people work on anything... customizing is a great artistic outlet and a good way to express yourself... whether it's a econobox or a HP monster. Don't let these idiots put you down. They're just looking for justification and glorification.

well they aren't that different a swap is possible even though I can see the motor mounts. you would just be looking at a lot of moving stuff around. but you would have to do pretty much a 100% swap which would include radiators battery location coolant res.... everything maybe other than the power steering and brak booster stuff. I'd really have to have a better look at it but the way I see it if you can find a ss/sc that got so smashed up in the rear it was sent to a junk yard. you could possibly do a whole front clip - body swap. cross members and everythign but it would be a pain in the ass.

at least your transmission is in the right place.
