New incentive for recall - $50 gift cards

So I got an interesting thing in the mail due to my utter procrastination. An offer for a 50$ gift card if I get the recall done. I know I'll get flamed for not having it done yet, but my car currently has enough problems that I'm rolling with that I plan to hash out first. And it's not my current daily anyways. Just thought the updated incentive was somewhat humorous

New incentive for recall - $50 gift cards

They're not touching my ignition, it's never shut off no matter what kinds of bumps I hit

It's happened to me once a couple years ago. I was going 70 in the #2 lane of a 4 lane freeway in the middle of a wide curve in a hilly area with 3 feet between the fog line and curb.
I forgot what I was doing but I somehow knocked the key with my hand and shut the car off so I had to jump across 2 lanes at a pretty busy time >.>

Yeah i got it the mail yesterday. Im still not taking it in anytime soon 25 didnt get me to so i doubt 50 will lol, i took my key of the key chain a long ago. So there is 95% its not gonna break since there is nothing pulling on it over bumps etc. I might take it in this winter if its a rainy week or somthing. Might. Lol

that's what im saying. lol

ive only had it happen to me 1 time in the 8 years that ive owned my car. that was when I hit a pavement transition that was like 3" on a road trip. the ignition cutting off was the least of my worries though. I was afraid the suspension was gonna break

was your lt an auto? I have wondered if you have to come to a stop, put it in park and restart, or if you can restart while rolling

You have to pop it in neutral, re-start then put it back in drive. Its not the smoothest transition back to drive but once in a great while isn't going to grenade a transmission.

I've gotten offered plenty of cards, I'm all too familiar with "techs" who do recalls at dealerships. They will never touch my car.

Only had mine turn off once but I was hitting the side of my dash by the radio cause a cd was stuck in there lol. Accidentally hit the key on the back swing. Luckily I was just crusing on the highway so it was easy enough to restart
