New member with a question :)

Hey everyone, great site you have here! I have an 06 Cobalt and I'd like another key fob for it. I tried searching with no success... Does anyone know if they can be programmed at home or is it necessary to have the dealer do it?

Thanks for any help!

Colin

Thanks for the input fellas! Well I hunted through the owner's manual. They tell you how to program a new key, but not a new key fob.

There are lots of used fobs on ebay. The dealer I called wants $40 just to program one though.

I've seen those silverado / tahoe programing directions online, I'm weary to try any that don't specifically say they work for cobalts though.
