I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a 2008+ cobalt ss... a friend of mine has a wrx sti and I wanted something fun too (right now I have an 07 pontiac g6 gt). I looked literally everywhere and didn't find anything around here...I even considered driving four hours to maine!!! I checked craigslist and finally found one nearby! The only problem is that its YELLOW and I am not a big fan but literally everything else is perfect, except the yellow. Anyone on here with yellow? Thoughts? I am going to check it out next weekend and am seriously considering buying it. Just want input (and yes I sent maaco an email to see how much painting it would cost LOL)

IMHO a car is a big investment, if its not a color your going to be happy with or options just wait if you don't need a car right away. I'm sure more will turn up. But if its got all the options you want and don't mind the color go for it!

Looks good Hiro. I would wait though if it't not your color. When i was looking i wanted white or blue. I got blue and i'm happy with it. Because i'm the only one. And at night it almost looks black.

Yellow looks amazing blacked out. I'm glad to see another person going from a G6 to a SS. I come from those lines and I'm glad I made the switch. The SS is a dream.

I'm highly considering getting a yellow SS.
But i'm sure bright yellow won't attract police to look straight at you ... >:l

If you are on the fence with yellow, don't buy it you will probably regret it later. I wouldn't want to be driving a yellow car but that's me.

I was on the fence about yellow too when I got mine. I just didn't want black or silver, but I really wanted the sport red tint coat, the blue, or white. I couldn't find any of those and this one was a super good deal. I have to say though, yellow has really grown on me, I love it. I think the yellow really shows off the body lines of these cars.

Maaco out of the question then. I can deal with the yellow, especially with some black thrown in there (wheels, bottom of front bumper, grill insert, badges, etc.) Anway I was wondering about CAI's on here. Does anyone like the injen or AEM and which do you think is better?

Saw a yellow SS today and decided I like it. Test driving it tomorrow. Drove a maroon 2010 today but dealer WOULD NOT drop the price a cent. Oh well the
yellow is a private seller so were good there. Wish me luck!

Saw the guy yesterday about his yellow SS. Said he was going to trade it in for a wrangler then didn't so I still have a chance. In two weeks time it should be mine!

So quick question jonathon923 how did you paint the grill and bottom of the front bumper? Did you sand then do primer and paint on black? I know a of of people have done that and I really like it. Wanna do that and rally stripes but no sure how everyone did them yet. THankS!
