New Pontiac Pursuit review up

Here .

Lots of big pictures of the interior as well. I like Canadian Driver for using "real" photographs as opposed to heavily controlled "glamour" photographs that other review sites use. It lets you see what the car really looks like in everyday conditions.

And is it me or do the Cobalt/Pursuit offer the best stereo system in this class? Does any other econo compact car offer something on par with the Pioneer system with a sub?

Actually the Nissan Sentra offers a 7 speaker package with 10 inch Rockford Sub. Only reason I know is I use to sell them. Honestly the sub didnt hit that hard but still sounded much better then normal. I'm sure other companys do the same.

Great, another positive review. 8.5 seconds to 100 km/h (62 MPH) for the 5-spd sedan is pretty good too.

That is a good review, if I can't pick up an SS I might vy for a Cobalt LS coupe or a Pursuit coupe when they come out

Evenstar...unless you plan on moving to Canada, no Pontiac Pursuit for you. America is only getting the Chevy version.

I haven't heard anything from GM as of it yet. Last I heard on the subject was in Automotive News and they said that as of late January, the Pontiac Division was waiting to see how the Cobalt sells. Pontiac designers like the Vibe a little too much anyway, and IMHO I believe they'll pick up something more like the HHR before they carry the persuit in the US.

I sure hope they don't do that, I can't really see the HHR and Vibe even together selling more then the Pursuit would!

I was too at one point, until I saw a close up photo of the Pursuit's speedometer and realized they don't switch between MPH and KM/H like some GM cars do. In other words, you'd have to squint to read the tiny MPH numbers on the speedometer, unless you're really good with math :P

This is the last year for the Sunfire, and the latest news is that there won't be replacement for it for at least 18-24 months. But I hope we do get the Pursuit here

i dont think it's a good year to consider the pursuit.....when it doesnt offer any coupes and GT models......and there are too few options to choose from.....there is only one aluminum wheel and it doesnt look like a pontiac at all....just a standard 16-inch 5-spoke with pontiac printed on it.....i think the pursuit might not do so well this year....they should offer a sportier image like a larger spoiler and a more aggressive exhaust tip ...and the front bumper of course........i hope there will be a GXP version with more horse power than the Cobalt SS S/C....
