NOOB Question about SS/SC Oil
I have a 05 ss/sc cobalt, and on the odometer when I scroll to oil, the percentage says 65%. When should I change my oil? Is there a certain percentage where I should be getting it changed?

You have to reset the oil life meter everytime you get an oil change.......some people neglect that. So if you haven't reset the meter, I wouldn't trust it.

I go by what the monitor says. Personally I don't believe in all the "change every 3k miles" bullcrap. I use only Mobil 1 full synthetic, and just wait until my car tells me to change it

PS guys-->The worst synth oil I've used is Q...it runs like garbage...it's also the cheapest synth at walmart...I'm trying pennzoil next; we'll see how it goes otherwise back to mobil 1.

Don't depend on that oil percentage. Check your oil yourself by popping the hood and pulling that dipstick out, wiping it, putting it back in, waiting about five seconds, and then pulling it back out. If it's dirty or it's low, it's time to do something about it. Remember, oil is gold-ish in color with it goes in!
