Obd transmitter

So I'm thinking about getting a wifi/Bluetooth/wired obd plug so I can use it for my iPad or iPhone. Not trying to figure out is it worth it.

Has anyone used these before?
Can it actually tell your boost?
How accurate is it?
Since this has so many gauges to use. Just surprised I don't see these everywhere.

Leaning towards the obd transmitter

The different transmitters out there all do the same thing, it's just that some are much faster than others. What you'll be able to read will depend on the software (i.e. what app you use) more than then transmitter you buy. I have the torque app and a shitty $30 reader. I can see pretty much everything the ECM sees (except KR as that's a custom PID and I don't know if someone has coded for it yet). However the response time starts to suck if I'm monitoring more than 2 or 3 things at once. The better readers cost up to 100 bucks or so but send data much quicker.

I am using a similar/same setup on an Android device, but haven't noticed any lag in response times. As for KR, there is a free plugin in the Play Store under "Knock Detector"(for Torque Pro only). Also, there are settings in Torque to speed up the communication with the OBD2 adapter.

I do have Pro, I will have to check that out.

Have you tried the data log function? That's where mine shows its real weakness. If I'm pulling more than a couple elements and have the refresh at say, .2 seconds, each column will have 5-10 rows of data between changes. But luckily I don't use it for that.

No. I have not messed with that function yet.
