so im trying to pull down my back seats cause im trying to fit a rail (to skate) in the trunk sticking into the front seat area... i cannot for the life of me get the seats down, tried for 20 mins. manual says there are 2 levers in the top back part of the trunk, looked all voer the top of the trunk and there is absolutely nothing to pull to release the seats. looked all in the back seats, cant find anything. tried pulling them - it seems towards the middle they will be able to pull out but it is locked near the windows. how the hell can i get my seats down. ive never tried to pull em down before - never had to.


its an 06 if that matters at all

 

pop ur trunk from the outside and look at the top part (where ur 3rd brake light would be if ur trunk was down) and u will see the tabs to pull down

i dont have a camera, only my BB. i'll take pics in the morning when its light out. is it possible the tabs could have gettin ripped off, are they just plastic atatched to something cheap? im 2nd owner of the car, my cousin treated the car like **** and lived out of it during summer months (road trips) so i wouldnt be surprised if they got broke off somehow with the trunk being packed with college ****... maybe when i kidnapped that hooker she ripped em off thinking they were the trunk release tab??

 

or look for the release mechanism and follow the cable. there has to be one..errrr two

 

found em ! they werent on top, they were pulled down? and off to the sides and kinda tucked in some parts of the trunk lining. i popped em into the holes on the top of the trunk again.

Have someone hold the lever down and kick the **** out of the back of the seat while you lie in the trunk.

I had to do this when I went skiing once, because my friend put the seatback up while she was in my car jerking herself off in the backseat. Then again it was (I **** u not) 27*f below 0 with the windchill so that might have had something to do with it.

But long story short I got the seat down and I got home in one piece and goldielox made me some soup.
