I'll tell you how lol, I just bought my 07 2 months ago with 58k miles for 2k. It had a Blown engine. Think about it, car dealers are all about money. Look them over hard for any funny business, high mileage engine swaps, etc...

Where the hell are you getting your values from? lol

I was looking to refinance mine last spring (long story), and with 33k on the car they were willing to give me up to $15,500 for it. I would have only needed gap insurance if I financed over $14.5k, so that goes to show what the insurance company even valued it at.

I would think that a 09 with only 12K on it could easily fetch $15-$16k and get a loan for it no problem.

I bought my 08 TC in June of 2012 with the equivalent of under 12,000 mi. Got it for $14,700 CDN and our market is always more expense then down south.

I checked KBB on this car and it is worth around 11-13K roughly depending on condition.

Wow, I almost find that hard to believe. The markets must be very different down there compared to up here then. I just valued my car on kbb and they're saying between 11-12.5. That's on a vehicles that's 3+ years older from when you sold yours.

Nope sounds like it was priced pretty well and went for a fair private price.

that Carol Stream dealer is a joke. All they specialize in is "higher end" cars and they are all marked up an additional 25%. They have SS/TCs there all the time. Believe it or not, that dealer actually helped me get more money from the insurance when my Cobalt got totaled because they had the SS/TC with the closest number of miles to mine in the midwest, and their price was through the roof on it
