Which ones?

Well here it is. i plan on putting some led's in my gauge cluster but instead of using my stock ones i'm gonna grab a set from ebay. i was thinking i should just get the ss 140 mph gauges, but then i saw the ss/sc gauges (160 mph) and i like those a bit more. My question is which cluster should i get. i can get the 160 ones for $55 or the 140 for $50 (both shipped). i would rather get the 160 ones cuz they look way better but i don't ever see my little 2.2 goin up to 160 and the needle will really only go 3/4 of the way. so what do you guys think i should do?

any opinions?

I think it won't matter which you get since it will be reading inaccurately.

has it not been proven that no matter which gauges you get it reads the correct speed? i forgot who tried it and said it worked fine.

it would not read right at all. you need the 120mph gauges if you have the 2.2L

you can switch clusters and it will read accurately. Somebody has already done this so dont worry bout it. The needles work on sensors from the cars computer that then tell the cluster how fast it is going. its not an overlay. its a full cluster so your in the clear man.

get which ever one you think looks better.

and yes somebody on this bored did do it.

heres the how to link they made
