Outrageous Insurance...
when i got my licenc i was paying 3200/ yr for an 01 cavy (two years ols at time). i now pay 2000 a year 21 no tickets or accidents. AAA discount. i know i pay to much MASS FTW
I can't believe how raped people are getting on their insurance. Wow! How are insurance rates so different. I only pay $389/6 months. (progressive). I don't get it. A lot of you have clean records, and are still paying over $1500 every six months. I know that age plays a role, but am I missing something here?

I'm currently paying $150 for just liability on my 98 Sunfire, I'm 19yo, M, 1 at fault accident and I'm on my parents account. If I was by myself, I couldn't afford insurance
OK, not to sound weird, but that isn't horrible. Maybe for the rest of you that are around 21 and under and have the SS/SC, but when I was your age, I drove my 99 Saturn SC1 and for full coverage I was paying $300 a month. That's a car that has a 1.9L SOHC (100hp at the crank). It's not a sports car by any means...only meant for fuel economy. Now if you want to talk about someone getting screwed, it was me. That was living at home with my parents and my mom and I were on the policy (my dad had someone else for risk insurance at the time) along with home coverage and through American Family. They're the worst.
With my 07 LS 4dr, I pay about $80/month because of one speeding ticket. I am 24, married, have multiple line discounts with our house. This is through State Farm. I know it's not great, but considering the ticket, I'm fine with it. When I first got the car they didn't know about the ticket since it was with the old car and I was paying $60/month.
I look forward to buying a sports car in the next couple years, being 25 soon, I should see a small drop and when I buy a GTO, Sky RL, or Crossfire SRT6 (haven't decided which one yet), I should see a pretty decent rate.

Everyone in this thread is a whiny bitch if you have complained about your insurance.
OP is paying 251 a month at 20 with an accident?!
19 with one accident and 2 speeding tickets=$453 a month for liability on a piece of trash Talon DL(1.8 92hp) with 173,000 miles.
Not to mention I had surcharges to pay, which totaled $1800
An accident that a claim is made on your own insurance is 5 insurance points which is worse than two speeding tickets.
I pay $151 a month for full coverage on the Cobalt and $56 liability on my Passport.
$800 a year for liability on my bike.
23 with a clean record.

Seriously
I pay about $260/month. 19 y/o, M, one accident, 3 Points against my insurance, couple speeding tickets (didn't go against me tho, got a lawyer). This is with Nationwide on my mother's policy. I am listed as primary driver of my SS/SC though.
Ok, so before I got my car I called up an insurance agent and they said insurance every 6 months would be $800 for my 2007 cobalt ss/sc. I got the bill today and it is $1508 every 6 months. I'm super pissed. I'm 20 years old and have been in one accident, slid into a ditch with my old car. Am I paying way too much???
Who are you using?
Who are you using?

4 months left here!

Until you wreck it and they find out you're fraudulently claiming insurance and then they take your money and you're left inserting a sharp stick into your own ass.
Did I meet you when I went out to Cherry Hill? I bet it was my wicked ex-stepmother who gave you that ticket. What a ****!
