A whole car is a far different can of worms.
Understand that it was just a quote not even on paper. I asked when I was there getting headlamps restored about a month ago or so

I dont like my dark blue and want to change to light blue. A scuff and spray would be ok with me, and no door jamb work.

Ugh. Don't even bother. You're just destroying whatever value your car still has.

It'll look bad.

And depending how light you'll go you'd have to prime it with a sealer. If you're not doing jams now you're going to have hard lines. Then you need to block the primer.

Ya, I just meant he would have to put a sealer down at the very least as it seemed like he just wanted to lay a lighter color on the darker color. Really not sure why I said they would have to block the sealer though.

What do you think would be easier/ cheaper, paint or wrap?

Some wraps look pretty good I've seen.... maybe go that way, it's hard to tell and a heck of a lot cheaper!

It's vinyl applied over your paint. When it's done well it's hard to tell it's not painted. Just like 1 big durable sticker that's cut to fit on the car. It's a cheaper way to a different color verses paint. Can last a few years and then you remove it.
You have probably seen it on realtors cars or advertising things like Red Bull.

Wrap is a bit of a bandaid solution but if you just want a different color for awhile it's not a bad choice if you can get it done cheap enough. The shops here charge around $3000 for a full wrap.

Almost what I paid for the car. Also have a couple small body repairs to be made. I wanted a sport and they where so hard to find, i settled for the wrong color. The car has proved to be in good mechanical cond., so thats why Im investigating this. Seems like if you can find the right guy at the right time, they,ll paint cheaper.

Don't waste your money painting a sub $3000 dollar sport
