Pics of 2007 changes

Shitty cell phone camera, sorry, here's what i got: My local dealer just took delivery of a bunch of 2007 Cobalts. Here is the new steering wheel. They all have the DIC controls on them now. This one also has Cruise Control. They didn't have any with radio controls. I was indifferent as far as what my opinion was about it.

Here is the new radio which I really liked. Notice the AUX input in the lower right corner for your Ipod:

And here is the new 16 inch aluminum wheel on the LT. I think its ugly. However, do you notice that is a 5 bolt wheel?! I don't know if its 5*100 or 5*110 like the SS's.

I thought you guys gad that radio for the 2006 as well. In fact I am fairly certain of it. I know my 06 IRL has it, and my 06' Impala. I think MOST 06' gm model's had the new delphi radio witht he AUX port.

I wish I knew if the 07 head unit would be plug and play for the 05, I want that MP3 player input. FM modulators just suck.

The new steering wheel looks nice, but when I drove a G6 with that steering wheel in it, I could never get my hands comfortable on it.

Those LT wheels remind me of the 96--99 Z24 wheels I used to have. I like em.

This radio is new for 2007. It was not available on the 2006 cars. This car had black interior trim. I'm sure the cars with silver trim would have a silver radio. I'm also sure you could get steering wheel radio controls, this car just didn't have it. I don't know if the radio is a direct swap for older Cobalts. I am actually finding out about that right now. Historically, you could swap just about any GM radio into just about any GM car. But now with Body Control Module computers and On-Star interfacing, I don't know. They didn't have any SS models on the lot, sorry, these where all I could get. I'm going to go back and see if the LS models had a 4 or 5 lug wheel, and try to learn what the pattern is exactly.

I really do like having that head unit. The AUX port is nice to have if you have an MP3 player, and the nice ones have a fot matrix display that is really nice.

FWIW, here's a screen grab of the G5 interior, which is probably what the higher-level Cobalts will look like.

The steering wheel looks pretty much the same as the 06 HHR wheel. IMO, in person the cruise and the radio buttons feel better and look more refined than those of the cobalt wheel.

I don't think that is true....My '06 SS doesn't have the new style radio in it with the aux jack.
