Possible to Dynamat inside of Hood?

Would it be possible to Dynamat the inside/underside of your hood?
I want a little bit less engine noise /:

&& my firewall got ripped up quite a bit when I was installing my header, and now my cabin noise is really loud from my engine/exhaust.. Any chances I could dynamat my firewall? Or put something there.....

IIRC, There is an sound deadening insulation on the fire wall behind the fabric insulation on the fire wall. I am not sure what the heat rating is on the dynomat product but it would be something to check into especially as aftermarket headers put out more heat than the stock exhaust manifolds do.

There you go and I think their Dynaliner would work for the fire wall. I'd still probably talk to an expert about it as I wouldn't want to have this stuff melt on you.

The heat range for dynamat goes up to 300*F. A better idea would be to dynamat under the carpet inside the car though. That way road noise is canceled out too, not just the header.
