Post Count?
Post Count?
Ok i am on here everyday for a couplel of hours, give or take depending on the day. Now i dont have a high post count cause i read more than i respond cause i am here to meet some people, gain some knowlage, and have fun. I post responses on what i know from experience, and stuff like that. My post count is only like 135 or something like that but i am a Premium member, and i have Cobaltss.net sticker on my car. does your post count really matter to people? I see some people getting bashed about there count. Just wondering and would like the input. Thanks
the only thing that really comes with a high post count is i guess a little more trust and respect... like if someone comes on that has thousands of posts, and tries to sell something, they're probably gong to do a little better than someone that has 3 posts, and is trying to sell something. i think that's really it though.
i didnt have many posts at all for my first year, but the 2nd year i was able to answer alot more questions for people and help them out. You sound like you are just about to leave the gaining knowledge period and into the giving...
i think i am also. No mods yet but people on here have convinced me to Stage II my baby. Just need to save up the $$ now.
ya know for such a low member # you have a low Post count. You seem to be in the same boat i am.

haha look at my member # to posts, yea you dont always need to write all kinds of crap to fully understand all of the threads. Hell just yesterday I read all about the dual pass IC and Meth injection... didnt write anything back but now I know about it and the the different routs you can go.
yeah your number is so low, but you only have like 1,857 posts, cobaltburst has like 1,717 and member number 2094. you havent posted much evne though you have been on the site for a long time. Thats what i meant

Yeah ur still considered a Jr. member and have been here since almost the beginning.
I like the set up on the GTO forum....if you post in the lounge (useless area), your post count does not go up. I think the same should be set up over here.
There are people on here with 4,000+ posts that don't even know how to check their own oil

i think people get mad when people who have like 10 posts and come on the board with a shitty attitude or come in bashing companies and other members rides or dont use the search button.
I'm all about the high post count.
seriously though, I don't care unless the person has a dozen posts and makes some outlandish claim about their SS/SC beating an Evo by a bus length.
But someone with 2,000 posts and been a member since 2005 saying they took a 2006 mustang GT.....more believable.
Or if someone with 50 posts tells me I should tear off the muffler and I'll gain 30 hp. Probably not going to happen.
It gives the person more credibility.

The only time I pay attention to someone's post count is if i'm buying something from a member or selling something to a member.
If a guy with 3 posts wants to sell me something i'm a little weary.
Who says he'll be back? Someone with a high post count is on a lot and easy to communicate with. You know where to find them.

neither number means anything to me either. If you need help and asking for it, then there should be no problem in someone trying to answer.
