As a salesman at a dealership on the east coast (last to hear anything), I haven't heard anything other than the headlamp recall which put production back about three months.

Don't feel bad, we don't even have any coupes yet, SS/SC or LS Sport Appearance or anything.

And it's ordering package is called the "TV5 Appearance Package Sport" here as well.

i posted this three times. The 1sb or TV5 package are very hard to get because of the 16" wheels. They cannot produce enough of them. In america they made a 1sy package which is identical to the 1sb minus the 16" wheels. You get the 15" alloy wheels. It is $150us cheaper.

I just did a search for the TV5 package and there are a ton of them (over 50) in West Virginia, PA and Ohio. I didn't specify anything but 500 miles from here, and that goes from northern florida to PA and over to the other side of Tennesee, the only ones that showed up were up north.

Some of them have been on the lots for as much as 45 days, so it doesn't seem to be too hard to get over there.

There were no 1SY or 1SW packages within 500 miles of here. And besides, after seeing pics of the coupe, I wouldn't go for the 15" wheel anyway.

I don't see any way for me to do it outside of the US. I'm sure the ordering systems are different because the vehicles are probably built slightly differently.

Further, when I did a search for every one within 500 miles of Buffalo, they all showed up in PA WV OH and a few in IN, none in Canada.

Sorry.

Hehe when I got stuck in Toronto and needed my truck towed to a dealer it was a mega hassel to have GM american do warrenty towing to a GM dealer in toronto. While Canada is like American Jr. They seem totally seperate as far as GM is concerned with their business systems.

I also heard today that the 1sb package has a slow roll out because GM is focusing on Automatics more than 5spds.! I have a thread going in the lounge area about this!

That's half true.

Every time GM comes out with a new vehicle they do studies as to who they think is going to buy it and in what percentage. GM is expecting a 50/50 split between buyers of the coupes and sedans, compared to the 85/15 coupe/sedan split on the cavalier.

The auto will be on about 95% of the sedans, and about 25% of the coupes. Of course, every area is different, we sell a lot of 4x4, where south florida everything is 2wd, just for an example.

That really has nothing to do with production times though. It's the same trannys you'll find in the Saturn and the Canadian Pontiac versions of the same vehicle.

I don't know if anyone remembers that I said my LS 1SB was getting built, well either my dealer lied to me or Chevy lied to my dealer or both. Made me rather upset. Anyways they gave me another "build date" of the 14th of March, not that I have any trust in that anymore, It is really starting to make me sick.

I also spotted a car nearly identical to mine during an inventory search on chevy.com. I told my dealer and they are going to "try" to get it for me, although I don't think they are going to try too hard at all.

So there are some 1SB's out there.

we got our 1st 1SB coupe last week, and sold it already, no others inbound yet... we had 2 carriers yesterday, each had only 1 coupe on it, both looked to be the 1SY packages, or 1SA with the spoiler(couldn't see the dash)... coupes r out there, just not many...

It gets a little confusing but when I put together the final specs for my '05 I noticed you could get the sports appearance without the 16" rim/tire upgrade, but as soon as you ordered the 16" rims/tires you had to include the sports appearance package...not sure how this works with the 06 though.

EDIT:
Just tried building one on GMCanada's site and apparently you can no longer do that...you either get both or none at all...so why not just put them all in one package instead of two seperate options on the site .
