Problems with lowering springs/fenders... Help!

Okay so I'm currently running LNF struts / shocks with H&R lowering springs.

The problem is that my wheels (MSR 045's) stick out too much the offset is too agressive. Every time I have people sitting in my back seat the car will "scrape" but on the tires, basically my fender is slashing the edge of my tires and everytime I get off a ride I can peel more and more rubber to the point it's showing the metal wires in the tire.

I'd assume the fix for this is either getting stock springs back, or rolling my fenders?

I have stock LS springs laying around they have 130k miles, do springs lose "compression" after being ridden for many miles or it doesn't matter? Bc if it does matter id rather get low mileage stock SS springs from someone here.

Basically my question is what's your advice? I'm kinda tired of the H&R's they ride like crap and my roads aren't made for that. My whole car feels like it's gonna fall apart and I can never have people in the backseat.

I'm thinking of going with other lowering springs type Pedders or Pro Kit but will I still have this issue? Or just go stock and I'll be guaranteed no more tire slashing.

If anyone can chime in thanks in advance!

Well I would say depends how much clearance you need if not much then go with some different springs that dont drop that much, if not mistake h&r are ome of the lowest springs. If you don't want to have any problems then go with stock but you will probably get that gap that no one likes but if you dont care then stock should be it. And well everything thats old tends has wear, thats a good amount of miles so I would probably not use the ls springs they will prob not last a long time

Thanks so much. Yeah I think I'll deal with the stock gap. I just can't be lowered right now anymore.

Thanks!!!

The Eibach Pro-Kit offers a good drop from the stock LS springs, but not as much as the H&Rs. They are a progressive springs, and the ride quality is great IMO, but I've long been partial to Eibach springs. Those might be your sweet spot, I love 'em on my SS/TC with Koni adjustable rears, and they will work just fine with the FE5 (LNF) struts/shocks that you have.

My tires are 225 already, I feel the fenders rolled would look bad because I'm not like stanced they're just springs and there's still like a 2 finger gap between wheel and fender that's why it only touches when I go over bumps or potholes.

Also if I have people in the back it goes down to half a finger gap and it'll just slash the tire almost the whole ride.

It's winter now so I think I'll go stock it's the most economic and effective. I'll think about what springs next season when I sell my H&R's.

Thanks all for the responses!

You can't see rolled fenders. You must be thinking pulled. My rims are a slightly more aggressive offset (+38) and I never rub fenders since rolling. I'm also on 225s.

There's a lip towards the front of the fender that needs to be rolled. That's usually what ruins tires. The rear wheel comes forward as the rear suspension travels down

Thanks for this info man! Either way I hate the way H&R's ride it feels like my cars gonna fall apart so I'm just gonna survive this winter with my old springs and next summer I'll get new springs and roll the fenders. Seems the best way to go.

I have SS/SC springs I can sell you. They will be a little firmer than your LS springs and have a slight drop (about 1"). You wont have the issues you are having.
