Prospective buyer with a question.

I haven't had time to stop by my local GM dealer so I figured I'd ask here. Is the Cobalt big-guy friendly? Not so much wide, but tall. I'm 6'5"-6'6" with more height in my torso than from my waist down. If I do get a Cobalt, I will not be getting a sun/moon roof. Distance between my knees and the dash is also a concern.

Any opinions as to whether or not the Cobalt would be a good choice for me are appreciated.

Thanks!

I drive a cobalt and am perfectly comfortable, just lean the seat back a lot.... I get tired of posting how tall I am so here is a picture to give you an idea.

I've heard many taller guys say that the Cobalt has more head room than expected. I'm not sure of how tall you are but my 6'2" Dad is able to ride or drive my car without any problems.

I'm 6'4'' and I have an 09 SS with a sunroof and still have plenty of head room. sun roof or no sun roof you should have enough head room and don't worry about leg room, there's PLENTY! More then most vehicles offer IMO.

If you test drive or buy a Cobalt, there's a triangle shaped level on the side of the seat bottom, just push it down repeatidly to put the seat all the way down.

I'm 6'1" but I'm built sort of the opposite of you - I'm all leg. That said, I drive my wife's '08 Cobalt LT with the seat lifted all the way UP so you should have no problems with it all the way DOWN. And this is one of the very few cars I've ever driven where I don't slide the seat all the way BACK. Close, but not quite. That's only happened with maybe 3 other cars I've come across, and I get to drive an awful lot of cars.

<<< 6'1" here and no problems. Like mentioned above, plenty of room, at least in the coupe. I assume you are looking to get a coupe. My mom has a base sedan and feels more uncomfortable. Kid you not but my dad's Aveo has more room than my mom's cobalt sedan

Im 6'3". The cobalt is not too bad for head room. there is plenty of lee-way to move the chair back and down for guys like us. after placing my seat back and down for head room, i have to have my arms stretched out a bit to reach the steering wheel. i wanna auto-x mine and i wish i had the room to sit up and get closer to the steering wheel.

I find my head uncomfortably close to the roof. Leaning the seat back gives me the headroom I need but I'm uncomfortable leaning back that far. I can slide the seat back and I get more headroom because of the shape of the roof, but then its a stretch to reach the steering wheel

I shoulda bought another truck

Totally forgot I posted here. Sorry 'bout that. lol

Anyway, thanks for the input. I feel weird if I tilt the back too far; gotta sit up [relatively] straight. Does the steering wheel telescope (standard or optional)?
