Question about factory ordering and price changes
Is it normal for the dealer to charge me the extra destination charge if it changed after I placed the factory order? In the past I've always been locked into the price at the time I placed the order.
I would agree you should be locked in at the original price. They may be trying to pull a fast one on you.
Out of curiosity, how much is the destination charge from Lordstown OH to Michigan? I understand its not always that simple (the railcars often get sent to a "mixing center" before redistribution to their final destinations), but as the crow flies, the car hasn't come a long way to get to you.

It was $670 when I placed the order, and it jumped to $720 just a few weeks ago. The computer is showing the GMS price with the higher delivery, even though it is shipped by truck was ordered based on the original fee! I'm supposed to get the difference back as a refund which seems inefficient and counter-intuitive. Someone else on the Pontiac forums said they had that happen numerous times and it was normal.
Another disappointment was GM doesn't print the name of the buyer on the window sticker. Chrysler and Ford personalize the window sticker when you order using the employee plan or supplier/friends plan. I asked and they said GM doesn't even do it for the Corvettes!
