Question....READ

So I'm extremely new to the tuner scene. But one thing that I've noticed is that there seems to be a lot of people in these forums posting about stuff that's wrong with there balt? When I look into the poster of the post usually it seems to me that its the people that heavily modded (performance wise) there car? Am I the only one who see's this or what.

It just concerns me because I just bought my 08 T/C and I'm starting to get concerned about the coming years what could happen??? Especially with my last car I had. Nickel and dimmed my ass to death haha. 01 Eclipse, Biggest peice of **** EVER!

Just a thought. Don't hate please

I have a 2005 SS Supercharged, lightly modded engine wise. I honestly have had NO problems with this car that weren't brought on myself. Suspension issues, but I auto-x and road race. I've had no more issues than friends with Hondas and BMWs that I race with.

Toying with cars will cause other problems.

However, what you don't read about are the people who have no problems, have you ever seen a thread "Cams installed, no problems!"????

But i bet you have seen "Cams installed, car won't start!!!"

If people have no issues, then they have less questions to ask
If they have less questions to ask, they won't be as likely to make a thread.

Just be patient, let others try stuff before you do

just realize, the heavier you get to modding, the less reliable the car becomes
if you do a complete rebuild, you might want to have a DD for backup
i bet most owners on this site have had few problems

Only had a belt break on mine, 07 SS SC with 35 000 kms on it. No problems.

And you definately will never see a thread like "I messed with it, now it doesn't work", its always "f*&% GM and their ..." People always try to point the blame somewhere else first.

You take some care of you car, some maintenance here and there, she'll probably last 300 000 kms!

The more you mod a car the more demands you place on parts that were never designed to do what your asking them to do. Sure a 2.0 CAN make 1000hp but how long do you think you can run those numbers till it dies? The harder you push the car the faster it wears out.
