racing a GTP this spring..

so theres a guy in town that is cocky as hell, and he has been running his mouth about how ss/sc are slow and that i couldnt touch his GTP. now let it be known that GTP's can be a monster of a car if done right. His mods are... 3'' dp, meth injection, smaller pulley not sure what size, but i cant be much smaller than stock. mufflers, and drag radials. My guess is that he is running mid 13's if not higher 13's. but i've never really seen these cars run. by the race i plan on having 2.5 all the way back. meth injection, stage 2, heat exchanger. and my mods below. what do you think the out come will be? i'm not sure myself but i just really want to shut him up. oh and this will be at a drag strip.

Can you find out what pulley size lol..... chances are he has a DHP or ZZP or (god forbid an intense) PCM. Those are usually setup for a 3.4" pulley (3.8 stock). He is probably looking at a mid-high 13 depending on his driving skills. Does he have the stock exhaust manifold? or is he running PEMs? (ported exhaust manifolds).

i know for a fact he has stock manifolds. as for the pulley size i have no idea. i just herd from a friend also that he thinks its a GT that hade the stock blower off of a GTP put on it. not sure if the internals are diffrent on a gt than the GTP

don't be too intimidated. I used to have a regal gs, basically the same car only weighed slightly less. i had a home made intake and thats it. at the track i was turning the exact same time as all the stock ss/sc's, we were all within a few hundreths of eachother. they don't respond all that well to mods, better than some cars but they really aren't that great. if you had a stage 2 i would say you would be able to walk all over him. traction is a huge issue with those cars, but it is fairly easy to learn to control. i don't know how well the ss/sc's run on the top end but those scv6's scream, 110 came up awfully quick, thats where the fuel cutoff is. i have no doubt that i could have done 150 in it. hell 2nd gear would take me to about 80. race him at around 40 if you have any say in it.

down low... he will kill you... from a roll, depending on his pulley size, you will beat him.

DRs plus GTP's = 1.8 60's
