This is the wall posting of a couple of the members of the Facebook group I created called “Cobalt SS BIATCH!” When I read this guy Tim’s first couple of posts on the group, I was like “WTF is this kid’s problem?” Then the girl with an SS/SC who is completely clueless about cars altogether, and did not even know there were two SS’s replies to his comments, her name is Nicole here is how it goes-
Tim-“did you guys know that the 2.2 ecotec is the most desired motor in the tuner world, so your SS motors aren't that great”
Nicole-“ha..no crap that our SS motors aren't that great! Like, the VW Jetta beats ours...there's a lot better cars than the Cobalt SS...as some ppl put it..it's the new Cavalier.”
Tim- “im not talkin' to you really, the 2.2 that's in my LS can produce well over 1000 horses with the right mods-and keep it street legal”
Nicole- “oo..well..sorry i was just stating a fact.”
Tim- “you don't know nothin', you bought your car cuz you liked how it sounded when you test drove it- you want to know about facts- i sell cars for a living-i know more than you”
Nicole- “ha..NO CRAP! And..I didn't just buy that car cuz I liked the sound..it had a good deal..if it wasn't my first car, I prolly would've bought another one..but frankly..I can't afford the one I want..since I'm only 15..oo..and around here..you wouldn't find the car I want..the closest you get is a corvette..and that's not even close..don't get all mad at me..I was just saying. I know I don't know anything about cars..just which car is which. That's why I would go to school to be what I want to be..so they inform me how to build them and stuff. If you knew me..you wouldn't expect me to know about cars..my brothers and Dad..they aren't mechanics or anything..they don't constantly fool around with the cars and the engines. We just keep them looking nice. I wasn't trying to be a know-it-all or anything..I was just saying that lil piece of information! Sorry I ever wrote anything back to you..but I mean..all the other groups..they never even talk..this is the one that actually talks...”
Me- “whoa whoa whoa when did this become the 2.2 vs. 2.0 discussion??? in case you didnt know 2.2 fan boy there are 2.0 SS motors putting out 1000 horses as well, and of course the 2.2 is more desired its been out a hell of a lot longer than the 2.0. the cobalt is not a cavalier, its not even on the same platform. and in my experiences people that sell cars are usually the ones that know the least about the cars. take this bullshit somewhere else. if you dont like the ss, then dont join a cobalt ss group, go start your "My cobalt LS 2.2 can be fast if i had an ass ton of money to pour into it!" group”
That’s where it is thus far, and I am waiting to see pics of this tim guy’s car because he says “wait til' i get pics of my '06 LS on there- then you guys won't be talkin trash about the rest of the Cobalts out there.” Noone on this group has ever even mentioned anything negative about any cobalt, and this guy comes in with his jealousy of the SS, and tries to talk **** about them.
I would like to apologize to the other level headed 2.2 cobalts out there, I did not mean for my comment to offend you, just responding to this guy’s stupidity and ignorance.

I am a 2.2 owner right now, but that is because i was looking for a reliable economical coupe under 15,000 last year and the only choice was the cobalt base model. I plan on trading it in in about 2-3 years for either an SS/SC or whatever elses is a cool fast 4banger coupe. Yes it is true that the 2.2 platform is the one used on the cobalt drag cars that pull 1000 horses, but it is also true that the cobalt touring car is based off of the SS/SC. I think we all just need to get along, and at this point the 2.2 is not fast because no body has shown us any ecu love so we are all up **** creek as far as turbo's unless you wanna remove the entire cobalt electrical system
