we dont have struts in the back so we cannot get one. that is mostly for cars with independent rear suspension.

Back when i had my 98 grand am, they were available, and the 2 are similar suspension designs, just the cobalts kicks more ass.

But the grand am had struts in the back and we dont.
So it will do nothing for us. Even if you made one it will not make any differance on this car.

I had one on my cavy and loved it. But with the way the cobalt it mad its not needed.

rear floor brace isn't worth it...if u want something do some new sways.

the focus handled so much better then this car when modified...can't wait for some suspension work....stupid ass torsion beam rear though.

There is the torque forward rear tie bar,,,

Here's mine

and yes I switched the nuts on that side after this pic, it was just like that to hold that side in place while I tightened the driver side.

But toyo is right that floor brace is mainly a show piece, and for the Balts that didn't get the sway bars (or the weaker ones) stock, those will give you better results than strut bars, but you're looking at a few hundered dollars for those. This bar was only ~ $60

THat bar for the focus does a lot more work because it's a hatchback. I have two bars on my GTI which helped immensley. With hatches, the rear isn't braced in the middle like a regular 2/4 door. For instance, although small, we have a rear shelf and the metal framing for the rear seat. That basically takes the place of that bar.
